Trump’s manufactured crisis has a sinister intent.

He’s been itching to mobilize the military against protesters in the U.S. for years. Last Saturday he did - deploying 2,000 members of the California National Guard against a by then crowd of a few dozen people at a Home Depot. Of course, his move inflamed the situation as we all saw on yesterday.

Just to put the move in perspective, the last time the National Guard was mobilized absent a request from local officials was in 1965 against civil rights protesters marching from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.
