Club Accomplishments in 2025 — a foundation to build on in 2026!

​

• We distributed almost 2000 “Red Cards” to help immigrant neighbors defend their rights against ICE encroachments.

​​

• We fought and won a battle with the city to carry signs in support of our Constitutional rights in the Lago Vista 4th of July parade.

​

• We mobilized more NSD supporters than ever before to take the fight to Republican lawmakers in Austin, inside and outside the State Capitol.

​​

• We organized to demand that local governments support fair and humane treatment of all residents, without regard to immigration status.

​​

• We more than doubled the turnout of Democratic voters in the November 4 election, from 25% to an amazing 63%, with a get-out-the-vote campaign.

​​

• We succeeded in electing all of our favored candidates to Lago Vista City Council in November, 2025.

​​

• We increased club’s visibility in community events such as Candidate’s Night, Trunk or Treat, and Jonestown Pride Festival.

​​

• We met local needs by supporting local organizations like Lago Vista Lions Club (flood recovery) and Old Farm Community Center Food Pantry.

​​

• We partnered with our Precinct Chairs to form a Welcome Team to call on new residents, distribute welcome gifts, and build awareness of our club and its activities.

​​

• We kept (and are keeping) local voters up-to-date with information on our website at northshoredemocrats.org about where and when to vote. 

​​

• We created a complete, customized list of candidates on our area’s March, 2026 Democratic Primary ballot - including a link to the League of Women Voters Guide with tips on how to use.
