Lago Vista City Council approves joint anti-violence resolution between NSD and North Shore Republicans

The joint resolution against political violence and harassment between NSD and the North Shore Republicans of Travis County was approved by the Lago Vista City Council at its Thursday, Aug 1, meeting.

The resolution, the left image above, was approved unanimously, and with no discussion. NSD had earlier issued separately a declaration condemning violence and harassment, shown at right.

Said Councilman Shane Saum: “We received this joint resolution from the North Shore Republicans and the North Shore Democrats,” the councilman said.” I thought it was a great sign of unity during a Presidential election year, To see our both of our local political parties come together I thought was just a great sign of how great our community is, and I think they are setting a great example for the rest of the state. and the country….

"I was just proud to see these Two parties come forward and put something out like this, and happy. that we are considering it here tonight.”
