A jam-packed audience rallied in Austin Saturday, April 3, and gave the orange felon an F minus for his lousy performance in the White House in his first 100 days.

Led by US Rep Lloyd Doggett, the event outlined Trump’s failures to the American people across several areas – immigration, economy, healthcare, education, and more.

Rep Doggett also compiled this fact sheet detailing how the radical right agenda is already harming Travis County and Central Texas citizens:

1.    Rising Costs / Economic Downturn. Trump’s incompetent policies are damaging our economy. Reversing previous growth, our economy is now in decline, as Trump pushes us toward recession. He is spiking prices upward, instead of bringing them down, as he repeatedly promised. For the average family, his tariff taxes alone mean at least $4,900 more annually in higher prices. His chaos discourages business investment, and is shrinking the value of retirement 401k’s and 529 Education Savings Plans.

2.  Undermining Social Security. Closing 6 regional offices and dismissing 7,000 employees who enroll and aid recipients, threatens delayed checks, inaccurate payments, slower approval of disability claims, and worse customer service. All laying the groundwork for undermining social security, which Musk condemned as a "Ponzi scheme."

3.Cutting Healthcare. Affordable Care Act health insurance access threatened by attacks on essential tax credits and terminating enrollment Assistance. Cutting almost half of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) staff combined with crackpot claims contribute to deadly measles outbreak and leave us unprepared for the next pandemic. Nothing done to reduce soaring drug prices.

4.Wrecking Consumer Financial Protections. Eliminating the financial services industry watchdog takes the Wall Street cop off the beat. Consumers' annual total cost of just repealing $5 cap is about $5 billion & more costs from repeal of rule easing subscription cancellations.

5.  Seeking costly tax breaks for billionaires. As the self-styled "King of Debt," Trump is adding trillions more to our national debt with another round of costly tax breaks for the wealthiest few even after making major cuts to health care, food security, educational opportunities, environmental protection, and more.

6.  Cancelling Research. UT stands to lose hundreds of millions as research grants are cancelled and graduate student opportunities end. $43 million in economic and job loss is estimated cost to Travis County from just the NIH research cuts. Research scientists are fired at NIH, EPA, and elsewhere. Halting research impairs both our health and our economic growth.

7.  Sabotaging Education. $41 million in annual federal funds to budget-strapped AISD are endangered for bilingual education, Title I assistance to disadvantaged schools and students with disabilities, GDP seeks to divert taxpayer money to private schools and targets Head Start, which serves more than 50,000 Texas children with early education, meals, and health care.

Is an F minus possible?
