Admin refuses to feed hungry families then blames Dems for holding strong on SNAP.

It’s pure blackmail. Dem Reps in Congress are fighting to reinstate the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program as a condition for ending the shutdown. The program has been with us in one form of the other since the dark days of 1933 to provide relief for impoverished families.

Friday the Trump administration said it would not use any of the $6 billion in the USDA reserve fund to extend the program when the money runs out in November. That means 42 million Americans could start to go hungry this fall.
