Trump’s gift to America - a worse economy & funding for a police state

A decrease of .3% in the gross domestic product, a .4% drop in the average wage, a $3.4 trillion increase (plus interest) in the national debt - within the next ten years. Trump is crowing about his victory and dismissing these non-partisan predictions as “a con job.”

The BBB is on track to have a devastating impact on the U.S. economy, as well as on healthcare and food security for millions of Americans. There are less-publicized consequences too, as Heather Cox Richardson points out. ICE funding is now at a higher level than the COMBINED FUNDING for the FBI, DEA, ATF, U.S. Marshals Service, and Bureau of Prisons. State and local control over police powers is AT RISK. Funding for concentration camps for undocumented immigrants, INNOCENT OF OTHER CRIMES, has been authorized. Use of prisoners as SLAVE LABOR by for-profit companies has been put forward by the administration. REPEAL OF GUN CONTROL laws governing machine and short-barrel guns is likely …and the list goes on.
