“…perhaps decency is back.”
In his wrap-up today, Robert Reich takes a look at the election’s big picture, then concludes, “Biggest winner: A diverse, equitable, and inclusive America.”
The November 3rd election was a remarkable rebuke of Trump’s DEI policies. In race after race, his preferred candidate lost (or came close to losing) to the Democrat who who more closely resembled the diversity of America. The Republicans’ traditional tactics, attack ads and divisive speech, proved ineffective in stemming the tide, and in some cases tipped the scales in the Democratic’s favor.
Besides Trump and his sycophants, the biggest losers were the mega donors and super PACs who poured record amounts of money into failed Republican campaigns. (Take that Elon!)
Last Tuesday was a great day for America and democracy!
