Oncoming AI revolution will rival the Industrial revolution, only much bigger & faster

The impact could be devastating if the government doesn’t take steps to control and regulate it.

On April 14 at the Sanders Institute, Senator Bernie Sanders, U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna, and author Naomi Klein gathered to talk about the current and future consequences of AI.

Unlike the Industrial Revolution, rapid expansion of unregulated AI would lead to wholesale loss of privacy and massive job loss. There are already unmanned 18-wheelers being tested on American highways, and the future for millions of truckers looks bleak. It’s getting harder to find entry-level jobs except in one area - teaching robots how to do jobs like folding laundry or sweeping floors.

If the billionaires remain in sole control of this developing industry, the AI directive will stay as it is - to maximize profit without regard for the impact on humans.
