I always try to catch the latest blog posts from former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich. In today's post, he shares "Five truths about the pending debt-ceiling fight that the mainstream media doesn't want you to know," arguing that the media's "both-sides-ism" paints an inaccurate picture that the Republicans are negotiating in good faith, while the Democrats are being unreasonable in their position that raising the debt ceiling to cover already-approved spending should be non-negotiable.
It's a good read, and worth considering these points as you evaluate the news coverage of this critical issue over the next few months.
