NSD at its Sept 21 Meet & Greet will welcome Katherine Culbert, the next member of the moribund Texas Railroad Commission.
The RRC, despite its name, has nothing to do with railroads. It is the chief regulator for oil and gas in the state of Texas. Commissioners have long been in the pockets of the fossil-fuel industry, with dour implications for our environment. Commissioners are rarely sympathetic to development of sustainable energy.

The event will take place as usual from 4-6 pm, Bluebonnet Room, LV POA Activity Center, 2601 American Drive. Registration opens at 3:45 pm. Social time with refreshments will follow conclusion of the business session.
