Substack writer Michelle H. Davis (LoneStarLeft) points out today how Texas got into this redistricting mess in the first place. Here’s her graph:

Texas’ 2024 Voter Turnout
(Clockwise from 12 o’clock)
Cream - Eligible But Not Registered 18.8%
Magenta - Registered But Don’t Vote 31.5%
Red - Republican Vote 27.9%
Blue - Democratic Vote 21.1%
Orange - Third Party & Undervote .7%
That’s the shame of it. In the 2024 election, just over half the eligible voters in Texas didn’t vote! They were made up of two groups (cream and magenta on graph): registered voters who didn’t vote, and eligible voters who didn’t register.
That’s also the solution! More and more Texans are beginning to realize the repercussions of not voting in a red state like Texas.
And the more that Republicans complain and bluster, the stronger the resistance gets! Read on. Be sure to watch the amazing AI video near the end of the piece - “Beautiful Ballroom 2028” has gone viral on social media.
