Aug 21 is deadline to file candidacy in LV city council, mayor, and ISD elections

Now’s your chance to serve the community as an elected official. This year’s election, Nov 7, will offer a chance for election as LV mayor, city council, or a board position with Lago Vista ISD.

Lago Vista ISD holds elections annually for some of its seven Board of Trustees positions, according to an LV ISD spokeswoman. However, if all seats available during a given election are uncontested, LV ISD will cancel the election, and the current office holders will be considered the election winners. If only one available position is contested, all available positions will be listed on the ballot, according to the spokeswoman.

Currently ISD board places 4 and 5 are up for election, though no one had filed to contest either, as of Aug 17.
